The eggs will come with their original protective secretions (from the females) and need to stay slightly moist. Place the uncovered part on the fungus and when they hatch they will burrow in. Larvae require almost no maintinence as long as their shelf fungus is large enough and they don't dry out. At room temperature they take around three months to mature (although it can be longer) and they are not cannibalistic without severe overcrowding so multiple larvae can be kept in one shelf (not bracket) fungus.

Also pupae generally take less time than tenebrio molitor pupae to develop and turn into adults, the lifespan is uncertain on adults (people say different things) some say a few months, some say up to five years as adults, I haven't really had my colony for long enough to tell, but so far none of my captive reared have died from age

Oh man, I don't have any fungus. I might be able to find some at school if that fungus is the right kind. I'll find put tomorrow! Lol

Yes I do, and as long as the shelf fungus is large enough it should be fine, although I've noticed that harder species tend to grow much larger adults. Btw these beetles are mentioned in "the complete guide to rearing darkling beetles" and "the ultimate guide to breeding beetles" which are both by Orin mcmonigle

I like to buy 41 eggs I live in Arizona it is very hot here I'm wondering if you can use Styrofoam insulation for the box can you keep larva together

Oh no, is that all the eggs? Do you have adults? They're very cute beetles, i'd love some. Just gotta be certain i have shelf fungi nearby.

They are very cute Beatles I'm just wondering if he could use Styrofoam insulation for the packaging because it is very hot here in Arizona and you guys can order a lot of very awesome beetles from Titan monster beetle shop but the only way to order is to go on their Facebook page

You guys can go to titan monster beetle shop.com but the only way to buy from there is to go on their Facebook page them and go on their Facebook page make sure to go on their Facebook page I was wondering if you can use a Styrofoam box or surround the container in Styrofoam so that way the eggs stay cool

I can sell a few adult pairs (10$ per pair) and no , mushroom species are not good for them, they only accept shelf fungus (with one exception but idk the species) and yes I could surround it with styrofoam
