Dynastes tityus adults for sale!

I still have some very nice F1 generation D. tityus females left. They are captive reared and are all in the 52-54mm. range. They have gone through hibernation and can be warmed up and used for breeding or kept as pets at anytime. Parent stock is from Prince George county Maryland.

Price is $15.00 each plus $6.00 priority shipping.

PM me if interested, thanks!

Any roomy container, preferably a small Exo Terra container. I mildly soak sphagnum moss and offer that as substrate as well as beetle jelly. Once the substrate dries out, just spray the substrate. If you were to set up a breeding set up, that would be different.

For breeding tityus I keep a male or two plus three or four females in a ten gallon aquarium with a tight fitting lid. Some ventilation is good. I use the same substrate mix for egg laying as I do rearing the larvae at a depth of around six inches. It should be almost damp enough to squeeze a drop of water out of a handful.

For breeding, I put them in the mating container so I 100% know they mated. After this, I put the female in the breeding setup. Months later, eggs start showing up.

Would an 8x8x8 container work or is that too small? I know thats pretty little but I'm not sure how much room they need to move and do their thing lol

Way too small. For a single beetle you might be able to get away with the 12x12x12 but I'd go for something with more floor space.

Just for housing, a large Exo Terra faunarium works fine. For breeding, you need to get a pretty big container compacted with deep substrate. Make sure not to compact it too hard.

You don't have any adults left or even larva I want to get into raising and possibly breeding so I was looking for at least a pair
